Job Overview: As a Warehouse Shipping Office Manager, you
will play a key role in overseeing administrative and operational aspects of
the shipping office within a warehouse or distribution center. This position
involves managing office processes, coordinating documentation, and ensuring
the smooth execution of shipping operations
Reports to: Distribution Manager
Key Responsibilities:
*Office
Management:*Manage
day-to-day operations of the shipping office, including administrative
tasks and documentation.Supervise
office staff and ensure a well-organized and efficient working
environment.
*Shipping
Documentation:*Oversee
the preparation and review of shipping documents, such as bills of
lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.Ensure
accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations and customer
requirements.
Communication:Facilitate
communication between the shipping office and other warehouse
departments.Collaborate
with the shipping team to address any issues or challenges.
*Order
Processing:*Coordinate
with the shipping team to process customer orders and generate shipping
schedules.Monitor
order processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
*Customer
Service:*Serve
as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to shipping.Address
customer concerns and provide updates on shipping status.
*Inventory
Management:*Assist
in maintaining accurate inventory records related to outgoing products.Collaborate
with inventory control teams to reconcile discrepancies.
*Quality
Assurance:*Implement
and oversee quality control measures for outbound shipments.Address
and resolve any issues related to product quality or shipping errors.
Reporting:Generate
reports on shipping performance, including key metrics and trends.Provide
regular updates to warehouse management on shipping activities.
*Process
Optimization:*Identify
opportunities for process improvement within the shipping office.Implement
best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

*Training
and Development:*Provide
training to shipping office staff on proper documentation procedures and
customer service.Foster
a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s
degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field.Proven
experience in office management, preferably in a shipping or logistics
environment.Strong
organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of
shipping regulations and documentation procedures.
Leadership
qualities with a focus on team development.Adaptability
to changing priorities and operational needs.Positive
attitude and effective problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented
with a commitment to accuracy.Customer-centric
approach with strong customer service skills.
