Job Overview:
Fine & Park, LLC is an established Eyecare Practice, caring for the eyes of the Hudson Valley for over 60 years. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. This includes conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and educating patients on proper eye care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on patients' needs
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometry practices and technologies
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state license & Insurance to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology systems and procedures
- Familiarity with optical dispensing and medical coding
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on eye care practices
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
