METAL PREPARATION SPECIALIST - BONDO AND SANDING OPERATOR (FT-Regular)

•Applies and sands Bondo filler to metals to ensure units meet applicable quality standards through the fabrication process

•Cleans, sands, and scrapes surfaces in preparation for spraying.

•Mixes materials according to the manufacturer’s technical data sheet for proper application.

•Repairs composites and metal surfaces.

•Must be able to feather out Bondo to a smooth finish.

•Operates sanders and various hand tools to rework previously completed materials, remove defects, and satisfy customer requirements.

•Load, unload, and stage pieces in work in process to maintain efficient operations

•Perform masking of part features per engineering product specifications

•Perform to an established methods and standards; meeting or exceeding the departments quality and productivity goals.

•Cleaning and maintaining all equipment and workstation 

•Proper use of all safety equipment, such as respirator, dust mask, and all other PPE and able to use safety features of machines.

•The ability to work as a team, Cooperate & assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of parts.

•Ability to lift items up to 50lbs.

ESPECIALISTA EN PREPARACION DE METALES - OPERADOR DE BONDO (FT Regular)

• Aplicar y lijar el relleno de Bondo a los metales para garantizar que las unidades cumplan con los estándares de calidad aplicables durante el proceso de fabricación.

• Limpiar, lijar y raspar superficies en preparación para ser pintadas.

• Mezclar los materiales de acuerdo a las datos técnicos del fabricante para su correcta aplicación.

• Reparar componentes y superficies metálicas.

• Debe poder lijar la composición de Bondo hasta obtener un acabado liso.

• Operar lijadoras y varias herramientas manuales para volver a trabajar con materiales previamente terminados, eliminar defectos y satisfacer los requisitos del cliente.

• Cargar, descargar y almacenar piezas en el trabajo en proceso para mantener operaciones eficientes

• Realizar el procedimiento de las características de la pieza según las especificaciones del producto de ingeniería

• Desempeñarse según los métodos y estándares establecidos; Cumplir o superar los objetivos de calidad y productividad del departamento.

• Limpieza y mantenimiento de todos los equipos y estaciones de trabajo

• Uso adecuado de todos los equipos de seguridad, como respiradores, máscaras contra el polvo y todos los demás EPP, y ser capaz de usar las características de seguridad de las máquinas.

• La capacidad de trabajar en equipo, cooperar y ayudar a otro personal en la reparación y preparación de piezas.

• Capacidad para levantar artículos de hasta 50 libras
