The Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator is a full time, year round position responsible for assisting Market Management staff with Market Center and Outdoor Market operations. The Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator works Wednesday through Sunday to support Market Center needs and staffing, ODM administrative tasks, and ODM management coverage.

Findlay Market is Ohio’s longest running public market and an historic landmark. The Market Center is the main information hub for market shoppers, tourists, and vendors. While at Market Center the Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator is responsible for answering questions and handling all sales of merchandise, fulfilling/packing online orders, assisting with Market programs & promotions, and completing daily opening & closing procedures.
The Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate counts of merchandise as well as assisting the Outdoor Market and Programs Manager with inventory of Nutrition Incentive tokens. The Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator will stock shelves and ensure cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas.
The Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator will be responsible for invoicing Outdoor Market vendors & coordinating weekly stall assignments. This position will act as a point of contact for vendors and will be the CFFM representative on Market days in the Outdoor Market and Program Manager’s absence.
The Outdoor Market and Programs Coordinator will assist in the implementation and management of programs at Market Center. These include, but are not limited to, Nutrition Incentives, Residential Composting, Fundraising/Development, Special Events & Promotions. This position will coordinate with Development staff and Communication staff as necessary.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Market Center Operations and Customer Service
Greet visitors and provide information about Findlay Market including but limited to information on wayfinding, CFFM programs, events, promotions, etc.
Maintain a customer-friendly attitude when interacting with visitors
Responsible for Market Center phone calls and messages
Process Nutrition Incentive programs (SNAP, Produce Perks, TANF, Senior Farmers Market, WIC)
Redeem & distribute Nutrition Incentive tokens & coupons
Be able to explain and educate guests on all CFFM programs
Process transactions of market merchandise, gift certificates, etc
Support development, fundraising, and event sales and initiatives at Market Center
Process community composting program
Support and process guest experience feedback program
Market Center and Education Center Coordination
Assist in training and leading staff on all operations and programs
Support training and sharing of necessary information with full time and ODM merchants
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the Market Center and Education Center
Manage inventory controls for merchandise
Support necessary tasks related to Nutrition Incentive programs
Be knowledgeable and informed on all CFFM programs, events, and related information
Outdoor Market Coordination
Coordinate ODM administrative tasks including invoicing and stall assignments
Act as a point of contact and person in charge for Outdoor Market Vendors
Enforce Outdoor Market Rules and Regulations
Assist in dissemination of CFFM information to Outdoor Market Vendors

Cashier/inventory/retail shop experience preferred
Computer skills required
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Effective mediation skills
Continual on-the-job learning is required
Ability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and some non-traditional hours
Must be able to do moderate physical work including but not limited to lifting up to 30 lbs, being on their feet standing and walking for the majority of the shift
Ability to work in different temperature-based environments throughout the day -markethouse, storefronts, outside, walk-in coolers
