Overview:
Our client, a manufacturing company located in Ladson, SC is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This person will support the Accounts Receivable functions of Head of Finance assisting in ensuring the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.
Description:
- Gather job costing data by running Job Ledger reports.
- Checking Job Ledgers for inconsistencies and potential data entry errors.
- Populating specific “Job Cost Analysis” Worksheets with data from Job Ledger.
- Filing and organizing spreadsheets into Job Folders onto company Dropbox.
- Delivering completed Job Cost Analysis worksheets to Head of Finance for review in an organized manner.
- Complete monthly Over/Under Billing report for Head of Finance review.
- Assist Head of Finance with monthly Back Log report by adding new projects, contract amounts, updating amounts previously billed, and removing projects that have been billed complete.
- Assist Head of Finance with monthly Pay Application processing by completing contractor specific forms.
- Ensure that all required billing is completed by cross checking monthly Back Log.
- Cross check that all open jobs have been billed complete by Estimating Department at the end of the project.
- Prepare Conditional and Final Lien Waivers to sign with each Pay Application.
- Organize all original pay applications to be signed by CEO and prep all pay applications to be sent out to General Contractors by Head of Finance.
- Gather back up documentation for Pay Applications, specifically for stored materials, such as Stored Material pictures, Certificates of Insurance, Supplier Waivers, and invoices/order confirmations.
- Post all new Pay Applications to outstanding Receivables Worksheet & in Sage Accounting.
- Monitor all Accounts Receivables for overdue payment status and present “red flag” list to Head of Finance weekly to discuss whether they require follow up.
- Assist Head of Finance with follow-ups on overdue Accounts Receivables.
- Receive payments from General Contractors and remove them from Outstanding Receivables Worksheet.
- Prep bank deposits for Head of Finance.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years General Accounting experience is required.
- Experience with Sage 50 Accounting or QuickBooks is required.
- Construction Accounting experience is required.
- An Associates Degree in Accounting/Business Administration is preferred.
- Notary Public certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in normal office-related software and equipment.
- Vast knowledge in excel and data management.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Extreme organization, proficiency with data and numbers, and attention to detail
Schedule:
- Monday- Thursday 7:00 AM-6:00 PM
