Find Flourishing Individual and Family Therapy Inc. a private practice group in Los Alamitos, CA is seeking a motivated registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with 1000 hours toward licensure. This is a part time position with room for growth, as it will take time to build one's caseload. The right individual will provide counseling services to assist individuals (both adults and adolescents), couples, and families in achieving more effective personal, relational, educational and vocational development and adjustment. We provide counseling services for a wide range of concerns, with a focus on couples’ treatment, adolescent mental health, anxiety/depression, and trauma related disorders. Individual or triad supervision will be provided by a LMFT.

This job is an excellent opportunity for an associate to work toward licensing hours while also learning about how to build and operate a private practice. The successful candidate will receive quality weekly supervision and mentoring from a LMFT Supervisor trained in evidence-based CBT interventions with a psychodynamic approach. Timely note taking and treatment planning including assessing client’s symptoms to make a diagnosis are emphasized. Training on proper methods will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completed Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy (Required)
• Work authorization (Required)
• Associate registration with the CA BBS (Required)
• 1000 hours toward licensure CA BBS

The ideal candidate for this position should be:

· Driven, independent and interested in working in a private practice

· Prior experience working in a therapy setting with individuals, children and couples

· Organized in their scheduling of clients and respectful of the client’s time

· Able to complete treatment plans and progress notes in a timely manner

· Comfortable working within the guidelines of insurance requirements including providing diagnoses.

· Collaborative and open to feedback from supervisors and fellow associates

· Culturally humble

· Flexible with scheduling clients and supervision

· When working remotely through telehealth, maintain a confidential and private space conducive to therapy

· Ethical in their interactions with clients

· Willing to follow California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and other legal regulations

· Attend weekly supervision per requirements of BBS

Job Type:

· Part-time (to work up to between 10-30 client hours per week)

· Hybrid-work virtual but MUST be able to commit to in-person at least one day per week on either a Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

· Pay: $30 hourly starting (potential increase for own clients generated)
