Financial Times is Hiring a Marketing Executive, FT Live Near New York, NY

Role Overview:

FT Live US is currently recruiting for a motivated and dedicated individual as a Marketing Executive. This role will support the US Marketing Manager as you operate on the front-line of FT Live’s relationship with delegates and liaise with all Financial Times departments to execute campaigns. You will be responsible for ensuring that we consistently attract the highest quality attendees to our flagship hybrid and virtual events, deliver delegate revenue, registrations and engaged attendees. 

Whilst based in the US, this role will be part of the FT Live’s global marketing team, regularly engaging and working with marketers based in London and Hong Kong. 

Campaign Planning & Execution:

  • Planning, coordinating and executing effective 12 month marketing plans to ensure our products reach the right people at the right time.
  • Creating and executing outbound marketing campaigns across a range of channels, including but not limited to websites, email marketing, digital advertising, SEO optimization, social and traditional media, influencers and PR.
  • Planning and producing engaging leadgen activities that drive min 20% of delegate revenue
  • Briefing, building, segmenting and reviewing data and creative ideas to attract new audiences to our events
  • Building and updating event microsites using the CMS
  • Briefing necessary creative materials including but not limited to print, social media assets and digital ads.
  • Designing and deploying compelling email campaigns, ensuring our messaging and copy are highly engaging and resonate with our key audiences and design is aligned with events’ branding

Live Event Delivery Support:

  • Building videographer and photographer briefs for on-site coverage and overseeing suppliers and the onsite execution, including but not limited to vox pops, wrap up videos and more
  • Creating and scheduling on the day retention email campaigns and app notifications to be launched throughout the event
  • Provide support onsite for in-person events through overseeing registration desk and attendee check-in
  • Designing and overseeing following year’s rebook campaign 

Campaign Analysis & Reporting:

  • Reporting on audience engagement and booking trends to the project team on weekly basis
  • YOY analysis for all marketing channels for each event 
  • Creating external post-event reports including stats, images and videos 
  • Conducting a detailed post-event analysis that will inform event strategy for the following year 

Required Experience/ Skills 

  • 1-2 years of professional marketing experience preferably in events and/or in a media organization
  • A flexible, adaptable and organised approach to working in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of how to review and segment data and creative ideas to attract new audiences to our events 
  • An understanding of SEO and excellent copywriting skills
  • High energy, passion for marketing and new technology, problem solving, self-starter, results oriented, proactive individual with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong organization, analytical and time-management skills
  • ​​Self-Development: Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using formal and informal development channels.
  • A high degree of accuracy in work practices and ability to cope well under pressure
  • Proven experience in providing administrative support 
  • Strong communicator with experience in building, nurturing and maintaining relationships across all levels of business (internal and external)
  • Proficiency with Google Doc, Sheets and Microsoft Office Excel
  • Strong understanding of budgeting and ability to exercise appropriate judgement
  • Knowledge of how to strategically use ChatGPT 4 and or DuetAi is a plus

Further Information

This position pays in the range of $20-25/hr depending on experience. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skill set; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations.
