Description

We are seeking a Claims Coordinator to join our friendly, motivated team. The Claims Processor will process claims, and provide assistance to customers and administrative staff. The candidate must possess interpersonal, analytical problem-solving, organization, time management, communication and customer service skills. 

Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Examining, processing, and calculating claims insuring filings, documentation and reports
• Assisting claimants, providers, and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims and/or policies
• Process claim reimbursements for gap
• Transfer deductibles
• Help file Short and Long Term Disability Claims
• Assist with Medication Issues
• Assist with authorizations
• Verify benefits
• Provide insurance information to providers
• Assist with appeal

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Six to 12 months of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as medical and drug manuals, and procedure manuals
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Skill and ability to read and understand manuals, medical terminology, and insurance claims
• Ability to handle high volumes of claims and work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be a multitasker and have time management skills

Must be Bilingual English/ Spanish.

Excel, Microsoft and Outlook skills.

Team working and positive attitude.
