Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Saw Operator to cut and connect parts to create air filters. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands and machines to do the job with great precision.

You must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic math to set stops and guides to the specified length of each job. While you operate the machine, it is important to look for any defects or issues.

You must possess great attention to detail. The ability to follow instructions with precision is extremely important.

The goal is to produce air filters at a consistent rate by cutting and putting together various components.

Responsibilities:

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
• Meet the production targets and deadlines during shift.
• Set up the saw machine and collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
• Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
• Align material and put together parts to build air filters.
• Check output to ensure the highest quality (ensuring that products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards).
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts.
• Working collaboratively with other members.
• Continuously improving skills and knowledge of processes.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience operating a saw or similar machinery (1-3 years preferred)
• Ability to use tools and machines.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, occasionally.
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
• Attention to detail.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on feet (10-hr shifts) and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent grasping, reaching, twisting, and pivoting.
• Consistently stretch/ reach with both hands and arms.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
