Registered Nurse - ICU

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Cardiovascular ICU at Centinela Hospital Medical Center. As a CVICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

13 weeks travel contract
Shift: 1900-0730
Start Date: 5/1/2024
End Date: 7/30/2024
Must have OPEN HEART experience
Rate: $804/shift (incl $482.40 stipend/shift)

Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the Intensive Care Unit
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform procedures such as spinal taps and administer injections
- Utilize electronic medical record systems, such as Cerner, to document patient information accurately
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in CA
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
- Excellent clinical assessment skills and ability to make critical decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
