The Line Captain/Supervisor supports the General Manager and Shift Mangers in effectively and efficiently helping to manage a restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure guest satisfaction, profit maximization and development of high performing work teams, which consist of shift managers and team members. This position reports to the General Manager. The Line Captain/Supervisor will help to ensure compliance with company standards in many areas of operation, including product preparation, guest relations, team management, ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each guest and other duties as required or assigned.

Job Title – Line Captain/Supervisor

• Station master of both the front and back of house
• Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensuring products are consistent with company quality standards
• Ensures Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
• Must maintain an “A” health inspection rating at all times
• Conducts performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, motivates and trains
• Ensures maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program
• Ensures food quality at all times
• Ensures a safe working and guest environment by facilitating proper work behaviors of the team
• Performs day-to-day responsibilities such as using cash register, operating grill and taking customer orders, etc., as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your General Manager

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 1 year of supervisory experience in a food service environment is required with responsibility for restaurant profit and loss. Experience in providing customer service and a desire to grow in the food industry is strongly preferred. You must have a very hands on management style and be actively involved in all daily functions of the store.
• Certifications: A NYC Food Handlers License is required to be considered for this position.
