Job Summary
The California General Manager will be accountable for FieldIn’s overall performance in the market. Specifically focused on the delivery of our solution to clients, their satisfaction, and Fieldin’s growth in the market. Your direct reports will include a team of Account and Grower Success Managers to deliver world-class service and value. You will also be part of Fieldin’s leadership team and work jointly with cross-functional teams such as Product, Operations, and Finance. This position reports to the COO and Co-Founder. As a General Manager, you are a self-motivated, adaptable, and self-reliant leader who likes rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done. You are passionate about driving the adaptation of our unique platform and service and have great leadership, communication, and planning skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Account and Grower Success Managers to deliver world-class customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed growth quotas by generating new sales and expanding our engagement and offerings with existing clients in the market.
  • Identify opportunities for future growth within your market.
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity to build and adapt appropriate sales strategies relevant to your territory.
  • Participate in trade shows with the purpose of generating strong leads for target clients.
  • Travel throughout the territory as needed and reside in the territory of this position.
  • Capacity and resource planning.
  • Provide full and accurate visibility into your sales and current customer pipeline through Salesforce.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of ten years of agriculture experience with a demonstrated ability to interact with an array of stakeholders, including Executives farm managers, and activity supervisors.
  • BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, sales, business administration, or agriculture or ten years of agriculture management experience.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining top-performing teams.
  • Have a methodical approach to solution-selling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with our clients and team.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Organized and process-driven.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Past exposure to hardware and software is an advantage.
  • Past exposure to startups is an advantage.
  • Spanish speaking is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $150,000-$250,000 per year (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
