Job Description: The Role The Liquid Alternatives Technology squad is looking for a hardworking, highly motivated software engineer with a strong understanding of programming fundamentals, and an asset management development background. Prior experience developing front office investment management tools in quantitative, systematic, long/short, derivatives, and/or hedge fund domains is required for this role. You will play a key role in architecting and developing a new Systematic Investment platform that will be used for alpha generation, portfolio construction and trading. You will collaborate with other technology team members in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to build scalable, reliable, and highly available technology solutions. The Expertise & Skills You Bring Interface with quant developers to integrate new models and research into an enterprise grade platform. Create a new pipeline/product to enable consumption and operational support of quant models. Work with a DevOps organization to create a framework for delivering and monitoring model in a production setting. Develop operational support tools for monitoring model performance, versioning, and calibration. Develop user-friendly interfaces for real-time monitoring: P&L, order tracking, and portfolio performance. 5 years’ hands on experience in software development. Highly skilled with Python (Design, Develop, Test, Debug, Deploy) Experience working in Java is a plus. Experience with UI development using Angular & RESTful APIs is a plus. Understanding of investment management process, security analytics, investment workflow, or fund accounting. Working experience with derivatives including futures, forwards, and/or swaps is a plus. Experience deploying solutions to AWS cloud (EKS) environment and proven understanding of CI/CD & DevOps Exposure to test automation frameworks (unit & integration) At least 2 years of experience in developing quant models with emphasis on Program Trading/Alternate Investments using Derivatives/Futures. A master’s degree in Financial Engineering, or Advanced Mathematics; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired and a CFA or FRM The Team Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. Liquid Alternatives squad(team) is part of AMT and is responsible for delivering & maintaining solutions for supporting Fidelity’s systematic investment strategy products. The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$179,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
