FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.
Submittal Engineer / Drafter 
We are looking for the perfect candidate to expand our Engineering team!
Applicants should be:
  • Able to work well individually or in a team environment.
  • Complete a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Display being detail oriented eye/hand coordination.
  • Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Overview
We are looking for a proactive Submittal Engineer / Drafter with significant hands-on experience in the power generation industry. One with strong technical and electrical experience to help with designs and special projects. Able to work with our Engineering team to carry out specific tasks that are vital to sales, production, and the engineering departments. Producing submittal drawings in ACAD for our customers approval.
Essential Functions
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
  1. Create submittal drawings using AutoCAD for customers from sales estimates and customer information for the customer to approve.
  2. Make necessary revisions to existing submittal drawings based on new information provided.
  3. Being the liaison with other draft persons or engineers to gather product information, requirements and design specifications for our customers.
  4. Works with customers, engineers and other departments to communicate needs and help with processes throughout the company.
  5. Communicate with customers to obtain information and provide clear direction for projects in production and estimates.
  6. Enter Bills of Material into our MRP software systems.
  7. Update files and maintain consistency with engineering records and part drawings.
  8. Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders.
  9. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
  10. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
  11. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
  • 5 years of hands-on work experience in the Power Generation Industry and manufacturing or equivalent
Required Qualifications/Training
  • Knowledge of electrical components, generators, circuit breakers, load centers, panel boards, transformers, etc.
  • Knowledge of fuel tanks, fuel pumps, enclosures, exhaust systems
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Familiarity with Solid Works is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook is a must
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to design and create projects from estimates or modifying previous jobs
  • Good research skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with superb accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with customers and other internal departments
  • Excellent math skills needed
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $24 - 28/hr. based on experience
Location: 1900 NE 25th Ave., Ocala 34470
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
Please note: All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75lbs. Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and company policy.
