  • Experience managing fixed income portfolios in life insurance industry, including asset-liability management
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully implementing investment strategies, especially in an insurance context
  • Leadership and managerial competencies, with an ability to build relationships and exert influence in all directions
  • Expert ability to work collaboratively with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

The Value You Deliver

  • Lead the investment management team, direct the companies’ investment processes, and manage the global asset portfolios
  • Develop and articulate comprehensive investment strategies aligned with the firms' risk tolerances, return objectives, and market dynamics
  • Lead the Asset-Liability Management (“ALM”) function
  • Lead the development of transaction-specific asset and hedging strategies that optimize yield versus capital within regulatory, accounting, and risk management constraints
  • Set the direction, management and oversight of in-force portfolios, internal managers, external managers, and legal entities
  • Assess the performance of investment mandates and contribute to the assessment of portfolio management
  • Work with asset managers to determine the best path to execution, including analysis of existing portfolios and the creation of target portfolios
  • Represent FIG’s investment team – serve as key point of contact and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders including Fidelity senior leadership, Boards of Directors, regulators, rating agencies, ceding companies, etc.
  • Negotiate investment guidelines and treaty terms with ceding companies to deliver the flexibility necessary to manage asset risk and generate target returns
  • Contribute investment expertise to support new product development
  • Mentor and develop staff, ensuring professional growth and knowledge enhancement
