Job Description: The Role As a Scrum Master, you blend deep Scrum expertise with a passion for mentoring, coaching, and constant improvement. As part of a highly collaborative Squad, you will advise, mentor, coach, and train on performance against Agile values, practices, and processes to accelerate Squad value delivery. In partnership with the Squad Leader, you will maintain a backlog, help remove impediments, and facilitate Agile events such as the Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Retrospectives. You will be responsible for release management coordination and will participate in scaling events and activities as you manage interdependencies across squads and product areas. You will examine and drive team performance through metrics and find opportunities for the Squad to fully realize the benefits of working in an Agile structure. The Expertise and Skills You Bring You possess excellent communication and people-interaction skills and can rapidly build trust and positively influence others at all levels of the organization. You are a proven change agent capable of coaching Agile practices to teams and individuals from different functions, experiences, and geographies as they work through new and unfamiliar situations. Through managing, coordinating logistics for, and participating in Agile events, you effectively facilitate and can brainstorm with the team to generate solutions that address challenges and roadblocks to accelerating value delivery while demonstrating a continuous improvement approach. You are intellectually curious and passionate about learning new skills and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching. Certified Scrum Master and/or Registered Scrum Master 2 years’ experience in a Scrum Master role preferred Demonstrated expertise in the application of Agile/Scrum principles, including the use of JIRA to manage project timelines Experience working as a Scrum team member Experience applying Scrum outside of software development Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience preferred Financial services experience preferred The Team As a member of Distribution Learning, you will be part of a broader team that creates and delivers engaging learning experiences that accelerate skill development and fuel the learning culture within Fidelity. We support over 24,000 associates and leaders across the Distribution and Client Services organizations in our regional and investor centers, bringing best-in-class resources and learning experiences to their fingertips. The Distribution Learning Scrum Master is part of the Agile Practices & Implementation Chapter. You will support one or more cross-functional Squads in the Distribution Learning organization, working collaboratively with all team members and the Squad Leader to reinforce and embed an Agile approach and principles into the day-to-day work through well-executed Sprints. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and Agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative Agile culture. The base salary range for this position is $81,000-$137,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
