Job Title: Front End Coordinator
Reports to: Front End Manager
Purpose: Ensure front-end operations run smoothly. Ensure successful store opening and closing. Ensure the front-end remains organized, clean and in fully operational.
Hours: 24-40
Primary Responsibilities:
Department Management:
· Fully complete all preparations prior to the opening of the store and/or closing down of store.
· Supervise front end staff and assigning delegate tasks.
· Use secure money handling processes.
· Ensure adequate change in cash registers.
· Register till reconciliation at close.
· Oversee setting up, maintaining, and closing of bakery case.
· Ensure that coffee is brewed.
· Support ongoing training of front-end staff.
· Plan for and ensure staff take breaks and lunches.
· Decision making.
· Oversee fulfillment of online orders.
· Handle confidential and non-routine information.
· Be proactive in meeting customer needs.
· Ensure all opening, operating, and closing functions are sustained to high standards on a day-to-day basis.
· Uphold staff and customer policies.
Customer Service:
Customer service is Fiddleheads primary focus in providing food, goods, and services to its customers. It is the goal of the staff that all customers are treated in a respectful and courteous manner, paying close attention to their individual needs.
· Be open and ready to assist customers.
· Assist customers in all departments in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner.
· Resolve customer complaints in a fair and tactful manner.
Additional Customer Service with Regard to Front End Department:
The Front-End Coordinator is not only responsible for providing excellent customer service individually, but also for training and assisting the front end staff in their customer service skills in the following ways:
· Ensure a consistently excellent customer experience.
· Ensure department employees treat customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
· Ensure department employees assist customers fully.
· Answer all customer suggestions, requests and complaints pertaining to the front end.
· Promote teamwork and work collaboratively.
Communication:
· Communicate respectfully, openly, and honestly.
· Listen attentively and empathetically to others, ask questions, and remain open to other viewpoints.
Additional General Responsibilities:
· Know what makes Co-ops unique and how to explain/promote Fiddleheads membership.
· Take initiative to increase product knowledge.
· Develop working knowledge of products and their location as well as where to locate their information.
· Willingness to learn about and take on new responsibilities.
· Orient and be helpful to new employees.
· Set a positive example for co-workers.
· Maintain good working relations with other Fiddleheads staff.
· Encourage and demonstrate good team behaviors.
· Attend staff meetings and staff training sessions.
· Provide customer service in other areas of the store as needed.
· Answer phones as necessary.
· Accept other tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Basic proficiency with Excel, Word, and email.
· Knowledge of register systems.
· Ability to accurately manage a register till.
· Prior experience in a position requiring the handling of money.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and plan workflow.
· Ability to manage multiple demands and meet deadlines.
· Ability to develop and maintain mutually respectful relations with customers, staff and vendors.
· Ability to work well independently and motivate self and others.
· Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
· Must be available days, evenings, weekends.
· Ability to work in a multisensory environment.
· Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently during a shift.
· Ability to be on your feet for an entire shift.
· Physical flexibility to stand, walk, squat, bend, balance, and rotate body.

Pay: $17.87 per hour
