This is an exciting position within the Cell Manufacturing Department. We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual to join our growing team. FibroBiologics is a clinical biotechnology company developing next generation methods for culturing, differentiating, and activating allogenic human dermal fibroblasts to use in tissue regeneration and potentially therapeutic treatments for multiple chronic diseases such as wound healing, multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders, degenerative disc disease, aging, and cancer.
In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the creation of various cell banks and performing downstream characterization assays. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the develop of cell banks for research and clinical use.
- Prepare media formulations, perform cell isolation, maintenance, expansion, differentiation, and banking of primary and stable cell lines.
- Assist investigators with alternative methodologies for cell line development and scale-up procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
- Perform in-process and post-process analyitcal methods for mammalian cells and tissues including Cell Viability, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, and Particle Analysis.
- Participate in experimental design and execution.
- Use good documentation practices to establish and maintain records of the work being performed.
- Examine data, prepare technical reports, summaries, update protocols.
- Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature as advised by supervisor.
- Work in a team environment, collaborating with various colleagues across multiple departments.
- Help to maintain laboratory organization and order supplies.
- Additional activities as needed.
Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with human stem cells or adherent cell lines.
- Experience with good documentation practice and batch records.
- Outstanding aseptic tissue culture skills, including maintenance, expansion, differentiation, and banking of several cell lines simultaneously.
- Experience with isolation, sorting, characterization, and expansion of primary cell from tissues.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with maintenance, differentiation, and expansion of human adherent cells.
- Experience with cell counting, flow cytometry, ELISA/Luminex, molecular biology, light and fluorescence microscopy.
- Strong computational skills, experienced with Word, Excel, Power Point, and GraphPad Prism.
- Excellent organizational skills, record-keeping, and lab notebook tracking.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and function in a team-oriented environment.
- Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization which requires flexibility, and a willingness to learn new techniques and methods.
