Fibertek, Inc. is a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to lasers for atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Army Research Office (ARO) division in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Job Duties:
The successful candidate will provide support and expertise including a general awareness and representation of the DOD and (ASD(R&E)) and ARO's Educational Outreach Program research and technology programs including marketing the programs and initiatives related to those programs. You will directly support ARO and their mission partners in implementing the Department of Defense (DoD) Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) programs set forth in the Department of Defense (DOD) and manage and administer the ARO's Educational Outreach Program research and education programs.This position will provide analytical support services to ARO to execute Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (ASD(R&E)) HBCU/MI program. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Â Â Â Report weekly and monthly activities to the Project Lead.
• Â Â Â Coordinate program transportation and housing.
• Â Â Â Assist with participant on-boarding.
• Â Â Â Direct interaction with participants for selection, notification and terms and conditions.
• Â Â Â Works with program mentors as required.
• Â Â Â Makes recommendations for improving program components and processes.
• Â Â Â Coordinates activities supporting symposiums and seminars.
• Â Â Â Assist with annual management program reviews.

Experience and expertise required:

• Â Â Â BA/BS degree minimum
• Â Â Â 5 years relevant experience
•    This position also requires knowledge of the DoD and (ASD(R&E)) research and technology development process and programs    associated with â??basic researchâ?, as well as a functional knowledge of the nuances of the DoD contracting procedures  and process.
•    Expertise in contemporary business computer tools (spreadsheets, databases, word processing, presentations, and graphics) is    essential. The Microsoft suite of programs is preferred to ensure ready compatibility with systems currently in use.
• Â Â Â In addition, the successful candidate should have specific knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Access.
• Â Â Â Strong communication skills are essential, including both written and oral.
