Job Description

Manage risks relative to the safety and security of our Soldiers, Civilians, infrastructure, and information in today's highly dynamic threat environment. This was done to synchronize, prioritize and coordinate protection policies and resources. The ARL Security Division develops and implements policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for ARL S&T managers and engineers to mitigate risks and protect critical U.S. research, military technologies, and programs.

Verify compliance with OPSEC and prescribe OPSEC countermeasures against specific threats for the protection of critical and sensitive information. Contributes to a National Defense Strategy (NDS) line of effort (increasing lethality) and AFC Technology Protection Guidance through promotion and implementation of enhanced technology protection across the ARL enterprise.

Supports ARL in conducting substantive reviews of scientific and technology materials to include but not limited to:

• Safeguarding classified and unclassified Controlled Technical Information
• Reviewing DoD-sponsored research documents from an OPSEC perspective involving joint ventures, academic collaborations, and cooperative research partnerships
• Support and execute efforts to enhance protection for critical programs and technologies through Technology Area Protection Plans (TAPPs), S&T protection plans, and Program Protection Plans (PPPs)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, STEM preferred.
• Understanding and practical knowledge / experiences safeguarding classified and unclassified Controlled Technical Information
• 3 years’ experience reviewing DoD-sponsored research documents from an OPSEC perspective involving joint ventures, academic collaborations, and cooperative research partnerships.
• Demonstrated experience supporting and executing efforts to enhance protection for critical programs and technologies through Technology Area Protection Plans (TAPPs), S&T protection plans, and Program Protection Plans (PPPs)
• At least 5 years DoD experience, and 3 years in OPSEC efforts
