Job Description

Fibertek is a leader in military and aerospace laser systems, and we’re looking for an experienced Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Lead to aid and execute Program-specific requirements, as they relate to Configuration and Document Management. The CADM Lead will work collaboratively with Program Managers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and sub-system leads to meet these objectives.

The CADM Lead must also have a good understanding of Configuration Management Principles and knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Document Management Systems (DMS) tools and processes.

The CADM Lead reports directly to the CADM Manager.

Essential Job Duties:

• Establish and maintain product breakdown structures and Bills of Material.
• Coordinate and control configuration baselines and change management processes.
• Contribute to the As-Designed vs As-Built records.
• Develop, maintain, update, and implement configuration items (CI). Including internal part number assignments and data/spec analysis.
• Administer engineering design and documentation release management.
• Provide training to internal personnel on PLM system and CADM procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to departmental team members
• Some clerical duties including scanning and filing

Job Requirements

Experience and expertise required:

• Experience with:
  1. Product Lifecycle Managment (PLM) System required.
     - Product Center and/or PROE/CREO desired
  2. Writing/contributing to a Configuration management Plan desired.
     - Knowledge of SAE STD EIA-649 a plus.
  3. R&D environments; desireable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Must be a self-starter, problem solver, and deadline driven.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of two years related on-the-job experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in a related field, desired.
