Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Maintenance Site Leader is responsible for supporting Maintenance Coordinators and the Maintenance Team, across multiple facilities. In this position you will work closely with the Maintenance Coordinators, the Operations group, Maintenance Shift Leaders, the central Maintenance Team, contractors and the Engineering Team.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Ensure that Maintenance best practices are standardized and shared across all facilities.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing a preventative maintenance system.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing a work order system.
  • Creation and fostering a preventive/predictive environment.
  • Develop and execute work plans to achieve the department’s goals.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators – downtime, OEE, PM completion %.
  • Responsible for supporting, coaching and training the Maintenance Team.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Coordinators are effectively managing contract workers, Team Members, and tasks as required.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Coordinators are fulfilling operation needs across multiple facilities.
  • Support and lead major Maintenance related projects across all Plants.
  • Communicate all activities to the Operations Team.
  • Manage and track the Maintenance budget and parts ordering system.
  • A “hands on” role working very closely with all operation departments daily to provide immediate, timely support to ensure operational needs are met.

Required Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years related experience in similar role in Maintenance.
  • Bakery, food or CPG manufacturing experience is a definite asset.
  • Ability to lead, organize and succeed in fast paced, rapidly growing manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work different hours/weekends.
  • Results-oriented with strong sense of urgency who can lead and influence others.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced Excel.
