Metro Prep High School, Grade School and Laureate Day School have been educating and supporting students with special needs for over 25 years supported by FGC. Using a multidisciplinary approach, Metro Prep and Laureate Day School provides educational and therapeutic learning opportunities in a small, nurturing environment. This allows our staff to tailor each student’s program to meet his or her individual needs.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for providing all speech and language related service minutes to each student assigned to their caseload as indicated on a student's IEP

• Responsible for submitting data (reports card, goals, evaluations, summaries) for students on their caseload by the stated deadline

• Maintain ongoing data and assessment of student's goals and objectives in order to provide accurate data for report cards, progress updates, and yearly present levels of performance updates

• Complete evaluations using standardized testing and/or clinical observation and provide a comprehensive report on student's results/clinical observations

• Attend all weekly staff meetings

• Sign off on students' quarterly goals and at the end of extended summer services

• Provide teachers with consultative minutes as specified by the students' IEP

• Maintain therapeutic service minutes provided to each student

• Maintain and update therapy schedule and caseload lists

• Update and submit documentation in a timely manner

• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology, Communication Disorders or related field is required; Experience working with autistic and social/emotional students.

Certification, Licensed, Registrations: ISBE Professional Educator License, endorsed Speech-Language Teaching or Speech-Language Non-Teaching, Speech-Lanuage Pathologist Illinois Licensure
