Job Description:

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. (FGC), a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization, treats and prevents substance use disorder, as well as an array of other related problems. Since 1969, FGC’s comprehensive programming has educated and guided individuals toward their full potential as productive members within their own families and our society.

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise Bureau of Prison Residential Coordinators, Patient Care Coordinators, Residential Coordinators, and Recovery Support Specialists within the residential unit.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for staff development.
  • Oversee the implementation of behavior management strategies within the residential units to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Ensure all staff members promptly report and document behaviors, incidents, and observations, forwarding relevant information to program managers as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with program managers to address and resolve behavior-related issues effectively.
  • Work closely with Bureau of Prison Residential Coordinators, Patient Care Coordinators, Residential Coordinators, and Recovery Support Specialists within the residential unit to ensure adequate staffing levels within the residential units at all times.
  • Manage staff schedules, including shift assignments, time off requests, and coverage arrangements.
  • Coordinate with HR to recruit, interview, and onboard new staff members as needed.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with clinical and Bureau of Prisons program managers regarding daily operations, behavioral concerns, staffing needs, and program updates.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to discuss program goals, performance metrics, and strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, agency policies, and licensing standards in the operation of residential unit.
  • Collaborate with program managers to address any audit findings or compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data related to staff performance, behavior incidents, and program outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reports that offer insights into the effectiveness of the residential units and the impact of behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain positive relationships with program managers, staff, and external stakeholders.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00a - 4:30p)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Location: 120 N. 11th St., Springfield, IL

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma with at least two years of administrative or office management experience required. College graduate p referred. 2-3 years of working knowledge of clerical, data and administrative management and customer service required
