Job Description:

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. (FGC), a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization, treats and prevents substance abuse, as well as an array of other related problems. Since 1969, FGC's comprehensive programming has educated and guided individuals toward their full potential as productive members within their own families and our society.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee the intake and admissions process in coordination with the Access to Care Department, including coordinating resident placement.
  • Assist clinical team with the implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident progress, provide guidance.
  • Monitor the daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments (clinical, medical, administrative) to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and documentation, including progress notes, and incident reports.
  • Respond effectively to crisis situations, including relapses, medical emergencies, and behavioral issues.
  • Implement crisis intervention techniques and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop crisis management protocols and provide staff training in handling crises.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local resources to provide additional support services and opportunities for residents.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the residential program.
  • Address and resolve conflicts among residents or between residents and staff in a fair and respectful manner.
  • Provide mediation and support for interpersonal issues that may arise within the residential community.
  • Ensure that the facility maintains a safe and secure environment for both residents and staff.
  • Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans.
  • Answer incoming MARNOW calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests from callers.
  • Effectively communicate with callers, colleagues, and relevant stakeholders to relay critical information, updates, and instructions related to marine operations and incidents.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of each call, including caller information, issue description, actions taken, and resolutions offered.
  • Ensure compliance with established protocols, guidelines, and regulations for marine operations and emergency response procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to callers, ensuring their needs are met, and their questions are answered courteously and professionally.
  • Handle multiple calls and tasks simultaneously, efficiently managing priorities and ensuring that critical issues are promptly addressed.
  • Enter relevant information into databases, tracking systems, and logs to maintain accurate records of marine incidents and responses.
  • Work collaboratively with other MARNOW Coordinators, marine personnel, and support teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (11:00 PM-7:30 AM)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Location: 120 N. 11th St., Springfield, IL

Experience and Skills:

Education and/or Experience: High School graduate or equivalent required. SUD Residential programming experience and the desire to learn new duties are required. Must be self-motivated, willing to take the initiative and work without direct supervision. Employee must be punctual and dependable.
