Full Job Description - Clinician - LICSW, LCSW, LSW, LMFT, LMHC

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts

Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 per year, commensurate with experience

Setting: Join our fantastic organization that offers community-based outpatient treatment. We're seeking a dedicated full-time Clinician to make a positive impact. You'll be working with a supportive team within an organization that places a strong emphasis on work-life balance. We provide supervision for non-independently licensed clinicians.

Daily Life:

  • In-person schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
  • No on-call duty, weekends off, no group therapy, and no billing requirements
  • Daily caseload: Approximately 7 clients with time allocated for administrative tasks and group meetings when necessary
  • Client care spans the entire community and lifespan
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus, though not mandatory

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a therapeutic role
  • Clinical licensure in Massachusetts is a mandatory requirement (LICSW, LCSW, LSW, LMFT, LMHC)
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous but not obligatory
  • Site can offer supervision if needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy, focusing primarily on PTSD and depression, while addressing other areas such as anxiety, grief, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, parent-child problems, acculturation issues, and serious mental illnesses, including substance abuse.
  • Complete all clinical documentation per Health Center standards.
  • Meet direct care standards as determined by the BHS Department.
  • Fulfill mandatory reporting, including abuse and neglect reports concerning children, the elderly, or the disabled.
  • Initiate referrals for Substance Abuse treatment, coordinate services, and offer ongoing case management for complex cases (in collaboration with DCF and the Courts). Provide crisis intervention for patients with suicidal or homicidal ideation, including consultation with medical staff and assistance in sending patients to the Emergency Department if necessary.
  • Offer consultation to medical providers on mental health issues and collaborate in the holistic care of patients.
  • Actively participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, team meetings, and other staff and community meetings as needed.
