The Operations Supervisor assists in supervising the front desk operations and hotel/campground staff. This position enforces policies and procedures and establishes a positive work environment. . We are currently looking for a: Adventureland Inn - Operations Supervisor Roles & Responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities Handles guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and, when necessary, future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts and sell strategies. Handles guest check ins/check outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner, Cancels room reservations according to procedures Responsible for assisting in interviewing and hiring of hotel operations staff and campground staff Supervises hotel staff and campground staff and work during shifts ensuring shift check lists are completed Runs accurate room status reports and relays necessary information to affected departments and individuals Assists in revenue management of the hotel and campground Responds to guest questions regarding the hotel. Knows the lay out of the hotel including all suites and all outlet locations and hours of operation. Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, etc. Manage and train the desk staff, night audit and all reservation desk team members. Ensure the staff provides professional and friendly service for customers as gauged by service scores / surveys and online reputation postings Oversee the ongoing training and development of staff in life safety, billing, emergency situations, guest service concerns, complaints Scheduling staff rotations, prevention of overtime, labor percentage controls, etc. Managing OTA information including answering questions in extranets Perform other duties as directed by Director of Lodging or Resort General Manager Participates in “Manager on Duty” program as scheduled by Director of Lodging Requirements Must be able to reach, bend, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds Walking and/or standing for long periods of time Proficient computer skills (i.e. typing, data entry, etc.) Flexible scheduling, open availability Education: High School education or equivalent experience. Languages: Fluent English Skills: Customer service – must have strong hospitality skills including, interacting with guests, responding professionally to guest questions and concerns, and completing guest requests in a timely manner. Creativity – You will be responsible for creating fun and unique memories with our guests to match the environment you work in. Communication – Verbal, written, and listening skills are extremely important in this role. Team Work - must be a team player and help to build positive work relationships that are necessary to meet business objectives. Organization – Manage your time wisely, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Problem Solving – quickly identify when an issue arises and come up with an appropriate solution. Mult-tasking – This position requires handling multiple tasks at once and completing them in a timely manner.
