We are looking for a certified Med Tech who can start immediately. We can offer 32-40 hours per week including every other weekend. Fernwood Rest Home is not a nursing home, we are a non-medical long term care facility housing about 60 residents. If you have prior med tech experience, but your certification is expired, we will provide training for you and help you get re-certified.
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Fax new prescriptions to pharmacy and ensure they are filled and delivered
- Restock residents' medications from storage closet
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, including medication administration records and incident reports
- Provide care and support to all residents
- Report any changes in residents' baseline
- Follow established protocols and systems for medication management
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations when handling medical records
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Medication Technician or completion of a medication administration training program
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent communication skills, and willingness to be a team player
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to senior care
- Prior long-term care experience is a plus
