Interior Designer or Architectural Designer at Ferguson Builders
Salary (Annual Compensation): $50,000-$75,000
Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Who We Are Looking For?We are looking for a brilliant Interior Designer or Architectural Designer who loves to coordinate all the design work from concept to completion of our construction projects to join our team! You will be responsible to produce technical drawings and plans used to build the client’s vision. You can effectively communicate with homeowners, designers, architects, engineers, and vendors, to create coordinated designs to be used during the build. You have a strong desire for growth and learning about the construction industry.
Qualifications:
5 years experience as an architectural designer, cabinet designer, lead designer for a design-build company, or licensed architect.
Extraordinary communication, listening, and planning skills
Appreciates and participates in teamwork, while performing at a high level themselves
Remarkable attention to detail
Extensive knowledge of residential remodeling and building process
Preferred: Strong cabinet design, space planning, and architectural design experience/knowledge
Proficient use of any Management Software & Microsoft Office Suite
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Analytical thinking and Problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Works with Client(s) to ensure their design expectations are met
Coordinates and communicates with outside designers, architects, and architectural designers
Oversee the design process using technical expertise
Understands and keeps up to date with building codes, and structural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical design concepts
Ensure structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality
Delivering quality while increasing profits
Purchasing interior finish items and cabinetry
Vendor/ Tradesmen Relationships
Communicating and developing with various departments
Maintain thorough documentation of the design process
Ensure designs are available to those who need them, at the appropriate time
Your First 90 DaysAll roles begin with a 90-day employment agreement. We start with this so that we can confirm we’re a great fit for each other. Our onboarding period provides extensive training and feedback while you learn the ins and outs of the role. At the end of 90 days, if we’re both feeling great about it, we’ll extend a new employment agreement for a permanent position on the team.
