**Warehouse Manager 2nd Shift**

Fenix Outdoor is adding a 2nd Shift to our North American Distribution Center in Aurora, CO. This is an opportunity for a self-starting warehouse/operations leader to build and develop their own high performing team, enabling Fenix Outdoor to meet the growing demand from our portfolio of premium outdoor brands.

This position reports to the Warehouse General Manager and is responsible for leading our 2nd Shift. This shift is primarily focused on efficient forklift operations, including putting away inbound product, replenishing picking locations form storage, and picking large orders. 2nd Shift also performs other warehouse functions as required including shipping orders, cycle counting, receiving, and value-added services.

The position requires strong interpersonal relationships with subordinates, peers, senior management and external contacts regarding the role's functional areas of expertise.

**Experience:**

* Minimum five (5) years management experience in Warehouse/Distribution environment.

* Minimum five (5) years experience with WMS, transportation management software and logistics systems.

* Good working knowledge of all warehouse functional areas including, inbound, outbound, and inventory.

* Experience operating forklifts, preferably standup reach trucks, and order picker forklifts.

**Education:**

* Bachelors degree in a related field or 10 years warehouse/distribution experience.

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**

* Responsible for leading/managing warehouse operations staff of 15 to 20 employees.

* Plans, implements, monitors, and is involved in the day-to-day operations of the 2nd Shift in order to accomplish all operational requirements.

* Monitors the productivity and efficiency of all 2nd Shift employees, coaches employees to improve performance as needed.

* Periodically audits procedures and processes related to put-away, replenishment, and large order picking functions and implements necessary improvements to achieve expectations.

* Manages the maintenance of warehouse equipment.

* Checks work/data daily in WMS to ensure data is accurate and that work is completed correctly.

* Promote an environment of continuous improvement so that operational costs are minimized while operational effectiveness is maximized.

* Complete special projects as assigned by the companys Leadership Team.

* Hires new personnel as needed on related processes and functions.

* Trains new employees on all processes, including certifying new forklift operators.

* Responsible for securing the warehouse at the end of every shift.

* Hands on management active participation in warehouse activities at all levels. Able to regularly lift 50 pounds.

**Required Skills:**

* Ability to supervise and coach individuals.

* Ability to lead teams to accomplish challenging organizational goals and tasks.

* Proactive manner demonstrating interpersonal skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office software

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, very comfortable using tools to understand and evaluate data

* Comfortable with process improvement methodologies including 6 Sigma, and Lean concepts

* Ability to identify work priorities in a constantly changing environment.

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

* Ability to succeed in a high-performance team environment.

* Ability to build and leverage strong relationships with subordinates, peers, and executives.

* Strong understanding of various factors that yield a successful outcome.

* Accountable and delivers on commitments.

* Ability to identify new processes and procedures for continual improvement.

**Working Conditions**

* Initial training will occur during normal business hours for several months.

* Once fully operational 2nd Shift hours will be from 3:00p to 11:30p, M-F.

* Working conditions are normal for a warehouse/distribution center environment where exposure to moving equipment, conveyors, elevated noise levels, and hot or cold temperatures may be factors.

* Employees must regularly lift and or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.

* While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, talk and hear.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

**Pay Range: $65k-$75k annually**
