Below are some highlights of the position:

Analyze present manufacturing sequence of operations and suggest and implement changes in method, machines, or process layout.

Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, to current operations and new product programs.

Support new product production launch.

Design of holding fixtures, gauging & tooling.

Troubleshoot and resolve production process, machine, and quality issues.

Lead and develop continuous improvement projects to increase machine uptime and reduce Scrap rate.

Qualifications:

• Experience in problem identification and solving, fitting, adjustment, testing, reconditioning and repair of parts and components in CNC lathes and milling machines.
• 3 years of CNC programming.
• Knowledge of NC Codes, process plans, program setup sheets, holding fixtures, diagrams, etc. to help setup and prepare CNC machines for operation.
• Automotive or high volume production experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and lean tools.
• Hands on experience in standard metrology equipment such as micrometers, height gages, bore micrometers, etc.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) of precision machined parts,
• Ability to lead contractors to disassemble, diagnose and repair complex machinery systems
