Perform daily floor care, cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and performing housekeeping duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions• Perform day-to-day floor cleaning activities in accordance with daily work assignments. • Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc. • Clean carpets to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting. • Buff floors using floor machine and appropriate pad and finish as needed. • Refinish floors using proper stripping or scrubbing method as needed or assigned. • Pick up accumulated trash and place in designated areas for storage or removal. • Clean exit/entrance door areas, to include removing trash and cigarette butts, clean glass with cleaner and clean/sweep entrance mats. • Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators. • Clean and store equipment, etc. at end of shift. • Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with established sanitation procedures. • Inform supervisor of supply needs. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor, to include any special projects. • Ability to handle reasonably necessary stress. • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with staff, resident/patients, and visitors.

Education/Experience
• High school or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.

Specific Requirements
• Must be able to read and write the English language.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions concerning the mixing of laundry detergents and other liquids.
• Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must possess flexibility.
