Job Description

Job Title: Senior Trainer

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform training services for FinCEN. The training sessions will include all modules in the FinCEN Portal as well as FinCEN Query and Illicit Finance Methodologies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Meeting with management and staff and performing research and information gathering to establish training requirements and specifications
  • Drafting for review, editing, and finalizing training materials, including standard
  • operating procedures, reports, checklists, manuals, and templates
  • Ensuring training materials and documentation is easy to understand
  • Writing clear and concise drafts to submit for feedback
  • Ensuring drafts and final versions are free of typographical, grammatical, and other
  • errors, and are completed to meet established milestone due dates
  • Managing updates (version control) as necessary
  • Preparing charts, graphs, or forms to go along with training documentation
  • Addressing management concerns in accordance with FinCEN policies
  • Assisting in scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events, and other
  • similar activities, as needed, in support of the training process
  • Performing and tracking day-to-day training matters
  • Working with government officials annually to come up with a training plan
    • Including presentation of training materials and modules on the FinCEN portal; presentation of modules located within the FinCEN Query application; reactive training (in-person and telephonically); hands on training for stakeholders; and webinar training
  • Participating in Government Acceptance Testing related to FinCEN Portal and FinCEN Query

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Secret clearance
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in training
  • Expertise in online training tools
  • The ability to meet deadlines

Work Setting and Environment:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Work is to be performed at FinCEN facilities in Vienna, VA
  • On-site federal contractors, in federal buildings or on federal lands must comply with CDC guidelines with respect to wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and other public health measures
