Job Title: Records Management Specialist

Job Summary:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in records management's file server inventorying and tracking of the disposition of records consistent with Government-wide policies and procedures
  • Assisting in the updating of FinCEN business processes and procedures
  • Integrating the management of electronic records with the bureau's other records and information resources management programs
  • Maintaining a documented inventory and audit trail of electronic records
  • Creating a strategy for consistent document storage and retrieval processes/approaches
  • Providing federal and agency advice on file plans
  • Providing federal and agency records management policy and governance awareness
  • Providing and coordinating the storing of, access to, and retrieval of FinCEN paper records stored locally and/or at NARA
  • Conducting compliance activities to include periodic quality control reviews, risk assessments and information data inventories
  • Providing training, guidance, expertise, and support to Division Records Liaisons and FinCEN employees as appropriate to ensure that roles, responsibilities, processes, and procedures are understood and followed
  • Delivering annual records management curricula and monitoring, tracking, and recording attendance metrics for all FinCEN staff
  • Developing and implementing records management SOPs and directives

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in federal government electronic recordkeeping (ERK)
  • Secret clearance
  • Experience with NARA

Desired:

  • Experience with ERA and/or ARCIS

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal business hours
  • Work is to be performed at FinCEN's offices in Vienna, VA
  • Possible travel to FinCEN's offices in Washington, DC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39.56 - $47.15 per hour
