Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Mid-Level Security Engineer to work in the DC area. A United States Citizenship and eligibility for a DHS EoD is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cyber security technology along with integration of new architectural features into existing infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Demonstrate skills and experience required to meet position requirements.
• Works with Customer and Task Area leads to eliminate silos, promote collaboration and teamwork, and provide faster, higher-quality and higher-value delivery.
• Creates new APIs to improve integration between EPA systems for use by ServiceNow engineers to maximize integration and orchestration of ServiceNow with current and new end user device support infrastructure, end user applications, EPA monitoring, and orchestration tools.
• Ensures focus of security tool integration within the design and test phases to continually mature towards a SecOps automation.
• Works with SRE Lead and ServiceNow Architect to identify limitations within the ServiceNow platform and evaluates methods, techniques, and emerging technologies to further AIOps maturity through automation and application of AI/ML capabilities.
• Identifies opportunities to automate routine tasks to minimize work-in-progress tasks and evolve to a "NoOps", proactive and preventative operational state for automation of releases, end user fulfillment requests, and operational maintenance tasks. Program: EPA ESSET
• Supports SE efforts related to DEVSECOPS, Agile, GitHub, Kubernetes , OWASP, API, Scripter/code tester - Java, PHP, C, .NET, Go, PowerShell, Python, CSRF, XSS, ubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS Fargate, Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, AWS Lambda with AWS API Gateway, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Fortify, AppDetective, Integration of security processes, controls, and technologies into technical solutions.
• Leveraging standard solutions, and a consistent approach in design, development, and testing.

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

• BA degree
• 4 years of related experience

Certification:

• Certification involving cybersecurity

Clearance:

• Eligibility for DHS EoD.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITCS Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
