Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to work at Ft. Bragg, NC. A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
• Performs work that requires practical experience and training.
• Work is performed under supervision.
• Typical duties include:
  • Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, software and networking issues
  • Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware
  • Performing system backups and recovery
  • Conducting server builds

Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of experience working with the specific types of hardware and software systems used by the Government are required.
• Systems administrators should possess strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government’s system’s hardware and software.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

Certification:

• Professional certifications such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) are also valuable.

Clearance:

• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
