Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Journeyman Systems Security Administrator to work at Fayetteville, NC. A United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Systems Security Administrators direct the implementation and monitoring of security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information. They must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems and security procedures, as well as a familiarity with systems hardware and software, and security information and event management (SIEM) products, especially Splunk and ArcSight. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that Systems Security Administrators keep abreast of industry security and cybersecurity trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations that include network and security access policies.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight) or an Enterprise Tenable Security Center deployment.
• Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidents.
• Participating in security systems testing.
• Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Preventing and detecting intrusion.
• Directing systems security corrective action responses.
• Security tool usage and maintenance: Nessus, Core Impact, ACAS, Splunk, ArcSight, Yara, Open IOC, or other host-based signatures.
• Some positions may require shift work and/ or an ability to work a nonstandard work schedule to support the contract.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Certification:

• IAT Level II AND Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin (Splunk Admins) OR Tenable SC Certificate of Proficiency (ACAS Security Center Admins)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
