Fun in the Sun! Come join FELS as our Summer Camp Lifeguard!

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• High school diploma or a general educational development certificate
• At least 2 years of experience working with children
• At least 2 years of experience as a lifeguard
• Completion of lifeguard training, including first-aid training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for children and infants
• Completion of basic instruction in water safety from a certified lifeguard (FELS is willing to pay for necessary certifications!)
• Ability to work outside during the summer

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Plan and implement the daily pool facility activities
• Supervise the children’s safety in all aspects of the pool program
• Administer first aid when needed
• Provide swim skill instruction and guard during free swim periods (Must wear a bathing suit)
• Make sure everyone adheres to all pool rules

• Overall pool maintenance
• Provide chaperone coverage for trips
• Attend scheduled evening meetings, activities, and events

Experience:

• Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
