Job Title: SQL Server Application Database Administrator

Looking for 8-12 years of experience SQL Server Application Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

Works closely with the application Development Team.

Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, including performance tuning and optimization.

Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.

Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Collaborate with developers and other teams to design, develop, and optimize database structures and queries.

Manage database access and permissions for users and applications.

Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in database administration.

Assist with capacity planning and scalability efforts to support business growth.

Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator, with a strong understanding of database concepts and principles.

Experience with SQL Server replication, clustering, and AlwaysOn availability groups.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Experience with database security best practices and implementing security controls.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good-to-Have

Experience with Snowflake cloud data platform.

Familiarity with Snowflake's architecture, features, and capabilities.

Knowledge of Snowflake administration, including user management, resource monitoring, and performance tuning.
