About the Opportunity
The Corporate Communications Department has an immediate opening for an Associate Communicator.
The Corporate Communications team provides strategic internal and external communications, creative, editorial, and web services. As an Associate Communicator you will use your expertise to assist with developing and implementing strategic communications plans across multiple platforms with the goal of engaging and educating employees, enhancing public understanding, fostering a positive image of the Bank, helping manage reputational risks, and supporting Bank and business objectives. You will partner with internal clients and leaders and provide communication support on a variety of issues, including employee engagement and communications that reach external stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategic communications plans in support of business areas across multiple platforms.
  • Translate moderately complex subject matter into simple, well-understood messages focused on the Bank’s business, people, and community objectives.
  • Assist with writing articles and covering events for internal and external publications and channels.
  • Develop relationships with internal business leaders and other internal and/or external stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide assistance with the development of multi-media and web communications to ensure business needs and client objectives are met.
  • Leverage new mediums and tools to enhance internal/external communications opportunities.
  • May have critical essential role in supporting contingency and crisis communications planning and execution.
  • May provide support to cross-functional team initiatives involving development of creative communication solutions.
Qualifications:
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; prudent judgment, and decision-making ability, and a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Highly proficient in oral and written communication with the ability to provide clear and concise information to stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Fundamental knowledge of communications platforms, including digital and social media
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with various other online applications, as needed for the role.

  • The hiring range of the Communicator - Associate is $53,400 – $66,700 annually.
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.

  • The Fifth District provides a hybrid work environment. This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
