OFFERING FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME SCHEDULES
Cases:
- Elderly patient with down syndrome and dementia, looking for full-time schedule. Assistance with ADLs, behavior redirection and supervision. (Schedule Monday - Friday, daytime).
-Young adult patient, cerebral palsy and quadriplegic.Needs assistance with transfer, ADLs, etc. (Schedule Friday through Monday, daytime).
-Young girl with cerebral palsy, attends day program, needs assistance with transfers, ADLs. (Schedule Monday–Friday 5pm–9pm, and/or Saturday and Sunday).
General Duties of a Personal Care Assistant:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication administration
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to different client needs and preferences
