Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is Hiring a MISSION SUPPORT ANALYST GS 11/12 Near New York, NY

Position: Mission Support Analyst, GS 11/12

Division: New York Field Office

Location: New York, NY

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Hours may vary depending on the needs of the office.

Salary:

GS 11 - $80,769.00 - $104,996.00

GS 12 - $96,808.00 - $125,851.00

Full Performance level: GS 12

Number of Positions Available: 1

Duration: Full Time/Permanent

Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.

Key Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance

Major Duties

  • Applies analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve issues or problems of an operational, procedural, or factual nature across field office operations.
  • Critically analyzes information and documentation from varied sources regarding the performance and procedures of operational and administrative functions within the field office and takes appropriate actions to ensure organizational requirements are met and programs conform to established procedures.
  • Researches, gathers, interprets and translates operational requirements or inefficiencies into recommendations and project solution plans; analyzes and assesses data as a guide to ensure appropriate project prioritization resulting in organizational compliance or improvement.
  • Uses qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques including work measurement, task analysis, productivity, charting, organizational design, workflow diagrams, and the application of basic statistical measures to make efficiency recommendations to management. Coordinates resulting plans with appropriate executive or supervisory personnel to ensure timely and effective planning, establish program or project budgets, and ensure coordinated scheduling of organizational initiatives.
  • Recommends operational strategies by conducting program assessments, operational performance reviews, or cost/benefit analyses; conducts trend analysis to assess impact of issues and related variables, recommends optimal solutions, and provides forecasts.
  • Presents information at meetings and conferences; shares data collected with executive management, supervisors and employees; facilitates discussion to solicit opinions; and resolves complex problems and conflicts when possible to obtain maximum cooperation and minimize dissension.

Specialized Experience (SE):

GS 11: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 09 grade level.

Specialized Experience is:

  • Gathered, researched, analyzed, and evaluated information and statistical data from varied sources to identify trends and understand office operations.
  • Conducted analysis to assess the impact of new systems/procedures on existing operations.
  • Formulated strategies, recommendations, and forecasts to achieve results and anticipate potential problems.
  • Prepared and delivered oral and written briefings to management regarding issues, problems, and/or progress of studies.

GS 12: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 11 grade level.

Specialized Experience is:

  • Gathered, researched, analyzed, and evaluated information and statistical data from varied sources to identify trends and understand office operations.
  • Conducted comprehensive analyses to assess the impact of new systems/procedures on existing operations to identify problem areas and provide objective recommendations.
  • Planned and conducted complex studies, analyzed findings, and provided objective opinions/recommendations to improve office operations.
  • Formulated strategies, recommendations, and forecasts to achieve results and anticipate potential problems.
  • Prepared and delivered oral and written briefings to management regarding issues, problems, and/or progress of studies.

Education

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

GS-11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.

GS-12: Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level.

All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign
