SUMMARY

Brightline West is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer intern for our paid, 8-week Summer 2024 Internship program. This program will offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with railway infrastructure, contributing to the development of one of the most anticipated high-speed rail systems in the United States. Our Summer 2024 Internship program includes practical learning, multidisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to work with multiple stakeholders.

PREFERRED TRAITS AND QUALITIES

• Strong capacity for multitasking while focusing on time management and detail accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
• Proficient use of technology, including Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as independently.
• Solid capability to apply independent, critical thinking but also to follow instructions and take direction.
• Willingness to be flexible and engaged, showing up with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Strong ability to show discernment and discretion when handling or maintaining confidential and/or sensitive information.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Electrical, or Mechanical), Communication, Finance, Construction or Infrastructure Management, or a related discipline.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
