Job Title: Ophthalmic Scribe

Reports To: Scribe Supervisor and Practice Manager

Summary
Responsible for charting physician-patient encounters in real-time, such as during examinations. Primary duties are to follow a physician through their workday and chart patient encounters in real-time using a medical office's electronic health record (EHR) and existing templates. Medical scribes also generate referral letters for physicians, manage and sort medical documents within the EHR system, and assist with e-prescribing. Will comply with HIPPA and observe strict patient confidentiality at all times.
