Job Title: Engineer II
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Director of Maintenance and Facilities
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Wage: DOE

Summary
Under supervision, performs a variety of building, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs and maintenance and performs related work as required. This class differs from that of Engineer I in that incumbents are expected to perform more skilled building maintenance work in areas such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• May perform any of the duties associated with the class of Engineer I.
• Performs rough and finished carpentry in the maintenance and remodeling of casino buildings and facilities, such as building cabinets and shelves, repairing furniture, hanging or repairing doors, and other structural fixtures and related work.
• Performs plumbing work in the installation and repairs of restroom fixtures, heating and air conditioning system maintenance and repair, and other water and sewage systems plumbing as required.
• Performs electrical work such as wiring and rewiring, switch installation, fluorescent ballast replacement, repair of outlets and related work.
• Fabricates tools and accessory items as necessary using various shop equipment and tools.
• With approval from the Director of Maintenance and Facilities, may order and pick up supplies as necessary.
• Recording and reporting any suspicious activity as defined by the Bank Secrecy Act (Title 31) and Feather falls Casino Internal control policy Suspicious Activity Compliance Program.

Supervisory Responsibilities
May assume the responsibilities of a supervising crew leader as necessary.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Two years of experience as an Engineer I with the casino indicating possession of the skills necessary to assume the responsibilities of this class: or total of four years experience in comparable work.
Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repair and related tools and equipment.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with other employees.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work in open heights and on hydraulic lifts. Safely work with electrical wiring, general carpentry machinery and tools, and welding equipment. Must be capable of lifting various weights on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds. Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling, done frequently on a daily basis. Requires correct use of back brace, safety goggles, and gloves, etc., lifting techniques and ladder or hydraulic lift equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly exposed to tobacco smoke.
