JOB DESCRIPTION: Lead Commercial Audio Visual ( AV ) Technician for our Madison Madison Wisconsin Headquarters location.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities required for effective management of AV system projects. Direct and mentor subordinates.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead subordinates, coordinate, manage the installation of AV projects, and prioritize project related tasks and resources on a daily basis.
• Install and maintain AV/IT systems including racks, display devices, projectors, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers.
• Provide daily job progress reports based on labor metrics to the Project Manager.
• Provide outstanding customer service and develop working relationships with Clients.
• Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections.
• Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Mentor fellow technicians under your leadership for the purpose of developing them into future Lead AV Technicians.

Experience Required:

• Must be willing to relocate to Madison, Wisconsin. Madison is ranked one of the best cities to live by Livability.com
• Three years of commercial AV installation experience.
• Previous Lead Technician experience is not a must, as we will train. But you must be skilled in bullet point above, along with reading schematics and blueprints and giving directions to subordinates.
• AVIXA CTS Certification a plus but not required.
• Crestron Toolbox certification a plus but not required.
• Can demonstrate a progression in the duties and responsibilities in previously held positions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers. Manual dexterity required for reaching and lifting of objects and operating office equipment. Ability to lift 80 lbs. or more without support.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate. Site work job conditions are like typical construction projects.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
