FDRsafety is seeking a Safety Director for a large manufacturing client near Youngstown, OH. This is a full-time permanent opportunity that will offer a generous base salary, lucrative benefits package, bonus incentive, and provide the opportunity for future growth.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs
- Experience with processes common to an extrusion and vertical electrostatic paint operation (Hot metal working, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, material handling equipment, die cleaning process, pretreatment and paint operations, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence others to prioritize safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels of the organization
- Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret safety data to drive continuous improvement
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a unionized environment
