Position Overview:

As a Floor Technician at FCS Facility Services , you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the appearance and safety of our clients' facilities. You will be responsible for performing various floor care duties with precision and efficiency, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and industry-best practices. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floor Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing of various types of flooring surfaces, including hardwood, tile, vinyl, and carpet, using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
  • Floor Restoration: Assess the condition of floors and execute restoration processes to remove stains, scratches, and other imperfections, ensuring a revitalized and attractive appearance.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to company standards and client specifications, addressing any deficiencies promptly and effectively.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow established safety procedures and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for floor care operations, ensuring adequate stock and proper storage.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients and respond to their inquiries or requests promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules, share best practices, and ensure seamless execution of floor care services.
  • Training and Development: Stay informed about advancements in floor care techniques, equipment, and products through ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in floor care or janitorial services preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating floor care equipment and knowledge of appropriate cleaning techniques and chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required.
