- Support external and internal audit processes by providing timely and accurate information as required.
- Collaborate with the CFO in the preparation of the annual report and accompanying footnotes, ensuring compliance and transparency.
- Assist in the budgeting process, contributing valuable insights to financial planning and analysis.
- Aid in 1099 tax reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy.
- Engage in special projects, team training, and development initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and expertise.
- Provide technical accounting support to fellow team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Contribute to the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, and documentation, aligning with industry best practices.
- Serve as backup for the Staff Accountant and Accountant I when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
- Review daily balancing reconciliations and provide secondary review of monthly account reconciliations, maintaining accuracy and integrity.
- Assist the CFO and Controller in preparing monthly board reports, offering valuable financial insights and analysis.
- Act as backup for preparing the Call Report, a critical regulatory requirement.
- Utilize troubleshooting skills to address general ledger issues promptly and effectively.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across all bank departments to resolve issues and optimize operational efficiency.
- Provide support to the CFO and Controller on additional tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as needed to support organizational objectives and priorities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to embrace new challenges and adapt to evolving responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Banking experience is advantageous.
