This position will primarily function as a Receptionist. Duties include scheduling appointments, scheduling tests, completing referrals, entering patient information, collecting copays, getting the appropriate forms completed and appropriate signatures for treatment, release of information and insurance precertification. Operates multi-line telephone to answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel. Medical Assistant candidates will also escort/assist patients to rooms, take and record patient vitals, and prepare patient for and assist with exams and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Assistant candidates must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. Knowledge of medical terminology. Previous physician office experience and experience using Electronic Health Record software preferred. Applicant must be able to multitask and enjoy working with people. Must have great customer service skills and strong computer skills.
